Brazilian heavy metal band MegaDriver are known for their covers of classic video game tunes.
Their latest album, For Great Justice, focuses on classic shoot ’em ups and has 20 tracks from greats such as After Burner, UN Squadron, R-Type and Thunder Force IV.
You can download this album on Spotify right now and if you’re a shoot ’em up fan it’s certainly worth a listen. It would also make a great gym playlist – it’s insane!
If you’ve never heard of this band before it’s worth checking out some of their earlier music on Spotify. In 2017 they released an album called Trimetal which covers songs from various Zelda games and their 2014 album, Double K.O. features tunes from classic fighting games such as Street Fighter II.
