Bitmap Books have published some incredible coffee-table books for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga and NES/Famicom.
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, today saw the publication of their fifth visual compendium; this time for the SNES/Super Famicom.
SNES/Super Famicom: a visual compendium is priced at £29.99 for hardback and £24.99 for softcover versions and is available with free delivery from Bitmap Books.
Like all great coffee-table books, this is large and lavishly visual, containing over 500 pages of high-quality images of some of the most beautiful and iconic games ever created. Judging by the sample images this book looks luxurious and high quality. I particularly like the coloured bookmark ribbons and slip-case. I think the Super Nintendo’s graphics have aged beautifully and this book is a real love letter to this amazing console.
It would certainly make a fantastic Valentine’s day gift for any fan of the Super Nintendo and its lovely 16-bit graphics. It would also be a great way to use your coffee-table to show off your wonderful taste in games!
